Ground Ops

Check-in

Lead: (on VHF): <Tactical call sign> check Victor.

Wing: (on VHF): Two.

Lead: (on UHF) <Tactical call sign> check Uniform.

Wing: (on UHF) Two with information (Current ATIS).

Clearance

Lead: North Ground, 3EXXX flight of two, taxi with information <current ATIS>.

Tower: 3EXXX and flight taxi runway XX, squawk XXXX.

Lead: 3EXXX and flight taxi runway XX, squawk XXXX.

Wing: Two.

Taxi

FWOP standard

Runup (After outbound call is made)

Lead: North Ground, 3EXXX flight of two in the runup request taxi to the approach end of

runway XX for a section takeoff, require full-length.

Ground: 3EXXX and flight, taxi as requested.

At the Approach end of the runway

Lead: North Tower, 3EXXX flight of two, holding short approach end of XX, ready for takeoff,

require full-length for section takeoff.

Tower: 3EXXX and flight, winds are XX at XX, cleared for takeoff, full-length available.

Tower may not say "full-length available." Clearance for takeoff at the approach end implies

full runway length. If there is any doubt confirm full-length is available with the tower. If

cleared "on to hold" request winds from tower if not previously given.
