Introduction to IFT
B.
Instructor Operator Station (IOS): located behind student
station. Knowing how the Instructor controls the
simulator and what functions are available will allow you
to ask for help in specific areas; this also reinforces other
safety devices and controls available while you are in the
simulator.
NOTE: The IFT and OFT instructor operator stations are
identical, with the exception of the HUD repeater, which
is not part of the IFT IOS.

HUD repeater
a.
Location: separate unit, left side of left CRT/
control panel
b.
Function: reproduces cockpit HUD displays at
IOS and repeats center channel scene content
