(1) Maneuver 1: fighter rolls off his vertical
move early and pulls for shot
(a) Advantage
i)
Reduces AOT and minimizes
nose-to-tail separation
ii)
Keeps bandit from regaining his
energy
iii) Provides possible quick-kill on
bandit
(b) Disadvantage: maintains continuous
engagement
(2) Maneuver 2: fighter attempts
disengagement in opposite direction
(a) Advantage: creates maximum
separation for fighter’s bugout if not
observed
(b) Disadvantage: allows bandit to escape
