Procedures: same as day procedures
except
a.
Lead: during the departure and
outside of Class D airspace, turn on
strobe light
b.
Wingman
(1) Ensure 500-ft stepdown below
lead's briefed altitude
(2) Fly to point No. 1 and commence a
30-degree turn, if lead is not
sighted
(3) Acquire sight of lead's lights.
Transmit "[flight call sign], strobes"
to confirm the lights you have are
the lead's, then "Visual" when lead
turns off strobes. With a visual
and established on bearing with
fuselage alignment, move up to
co-altitude
(4) Fly a maximum of 45 degrees
AOB to intercept bearing line,
utilize lead/lag to align fuselages
(5) Conduct night rendezvous
