(1) Before section separation
(a) Kiss-off via radio if able
(b) Select bright and steady for
external lights and then turn
on anti-collision light
(2) Smartly break away (normally
detach wingman at 400 ft AGL) by
(a) Coming up on power, speed
brakes in
(b) Turning to parallel runway
(c) Climbing to briefed
rendezvous altitude,
maintaining VFR
