Tactical Formation

When in position, pull to align fuselages while

remaining in lead pursuit using power and speed

brakes, as necessary

Solve for valid tracking solution using LAC mode

Approaching 1000 ft, target's wingspan should

begin to fill inner area of aiming reticle

Place pipper over target and hold for at least 1

sec (gunsight settling time) prior to firing

After satisfying settling time, pipper

compensates for lead required due to g and

time of flight

NOTE: Pilot reaction time is not compensated

for. Therefore, smooth g application is

paramount for valid tracking solution.

Use power and speed brakes, as necessary, to

maintain tracking solution

Place pipper on bogey, pull trigger, and call,

"Pipper's on, tracking" (When not tracking call,

"Pipper's off")

After pulling off the bogey from the guns shot

position, turn the master arm switch to SAFE

After the exercise

Turn off guns select switch

Turn off VCR
