Low man
(1) Execute a 17-unit AOA, approximately 70-degree
AOB, 300-KIAS turn in high man's direction with nose
tracking on or slightly below horizon (same procedure
as for an in-place turn)
(2) After 90 degrees into turn, check and call high man's
"Six clear"
d.
High man
(1) Immediately goes to MRT and turns in low man's
direction at 17 units
(2) When approaching 90 degrees into turn
(a) Check and call low man's "Six clear"
(b) Overbank to pass nose low on inside of low
man's turn with approximately 1,000 ft of vertical
separation
e.
Wingman: pull to new heading, varying g and nose
attitude to arrive in combat spread

Common errors for cross turns--wingman goes high
a.
Problem: wingman is outside lead's turn
Correction: referencing the lead, use AOB and AOA to
obtain proper crossing position
b.
Problem: wingman fails to overbank sufficiently, causing
sucked position
Correction: correct for sucked position
