Section Parade Formation
3.
New Wingman
a.
Do not take eyes off of new lead
PRESS ENTER OR SELECT MORE FOR 1ST OVERLAY.
b.
Move out laterally to establish 10 ft of wingtip clearance and
then stabilize
PRESS ENTER OR SELECT MORE FOR 2ND OVERLAY.
c.
Step down without sacrificing bearing by easing nose down
and adjusting power to keep from moving farther ahead of
new lead
d. As stepdown of 5 ft is reached, level off
PRESS ENTER OR SELECT MORE FOR 3RD OVERLAY.
(1) Adjust power as necessary to move aft slowly
(2) Maintain 10 ft of wingtip clearance
(3) 5 ft of stepdown
(4) Control this slow deliberate rate of relative motion aft with
power
e.
Slow aft movement by addition of power to stop on the 30-
degree bearing line
PRESS ENTER OR SELECT MORE FOR 4TH OVERLAY.
f.
Stabilize momentarily and then complete lead change by
moving up into parade position
