Controls and indicators--COMM/NAV
control panel
a.
COMM 1/2 transfer switches: when
depressed, selects cockpit exercising
control of COMM 1/2 RT and
illuminates to indicate cockpit in
control (FWD or AFT)
b.
CDI switch: when depressed, selects
between VOR/ILS or TACAN modes
and illuminates to indicate which mode
the CDI is operating in
NOTE: When VOR/ILS is selected,
the VOR or ILS light will automatically
illuminate, depending on which
tuned to.

NAV transfer switch: when depressed,
selects cockpit exercising control of
the NAV radios and illuminates to
indicate cockpit in control (FWD or
AFT)
B.
COMM control panel/intercom system (ICS):
cockpits and, when on deck, with the ground
crew. It also generates the warning and caution
tones initiated by the centralized warning
system (CWS) when a malfunction or aircraft
configuration problem occurs
