THE ATTACK CONE
The concept of the attack cone (Figure 9) is taught to emphasize the idea that, although you will be using
a fixed run-in line, an effective run-in can actually be made from any direction. For a given and dive
angle, the pattern of all possible flight paths form a cone above the target. In combat, you would maneu-
ver so as to intercept this cone from the most advantageous direction for your run-in.
