Syllabus Notes
a. I4101 shall have a minimum of five approaches
concentrating on radar approaches (PAR/ASR), including vectors
for one straight-in, non-precision approach (VOR, TAC, NDB).
b. Events after I4101 will have a minimum of three
approaches per event and shall include at least two procedure
turn approaches.
c. Holding should be accomplished and graded on at least
two events.
d. All events shall include a missed approach (or SSE
missed approach).

Autopilot demonstration.

Discuss Items
I4101
Observer duties/visual clearing, local operations, radar
approach procedures, radar vectors, NAVAID characteristics
(VOR, TAC, NDB), pitot static system, and autopilot.
I4102
Unicom voice reports, holding, procedure turn/holding in
lieu of (HILO) PT non-precision approach procedures,
departure procedures, and non-precision approach landing
transition.
