Chapter VI
Formation Training
1.
General
a. Restrictions. Formation missions shall be flown as a
section except for solos with chase.
b. Landing Continuity.
Maintain continuity in landing from
the break pattern.
c. Seating. Students shall occupy the front seat for all
sorties in the stage.
2. Matrices. The following matrix is an overview of the entire
Formation Stage, except the Air Force Formation block, F43. The
purpose of this matrix is to provide the student and IP the
easiest way to track progress, regression, and overall status in
relation to the MIF. In addition, there is a single matrix
following each block description throughout this chapter.
