MODULE 03
OPERATIONAL NAVIGATION AND WEAPONS STAGES
OBJECTIVE: To provide the IUT with training in conducting
effective instruction in Operational Navigation and Weapons
delivery. The module will also provide the IUT with instruction
in completing ATFs, classroom presentation, stage manager
training and phase goals, and training techniques for instructing
these stages.
NOTE 1:
Instructor indoctrination includes instruction in making
classroom presentations (ASI-07) and training to
function as stage managers consistent with CNATRAINST
1550.6D (ASI-08).
NOTE 2:
Night Familiarization Flight Procedures (NFAMFP-04)
covering night chase procedures and Operational
Navigation Flight Procedures (ONFP-01 through 06X), ON
simulators and flights (ON-01S through 05X); Weapons
includes flight procedures lessons (WEPFP-01 and 05X)
and simulators and flights (WEP-01S through 06X).
Includes heads-up display (HUD) set-up and management
techniques.
NOTE 3:
ONAV and Weapons events should be flown in the sequence
shown in the module.
NOTE 4:
ON-04 and ON-05X may be flown after WEP-06X.
NOTE 5:
IUTs without previous ONAV training will also attend
ONAV academics in accordance with CNATRAINST 1542.108C
to qualify for ON stage.
