(1) Suppresses tendency of fuel to boil at
high altitudes

Operational description
(1) Bleed air from high pressure
fifth stage of the high pressure
compressor is regulated to 6 psi above
ambient by tank pressure control valve
(2) Dual datum relief valve prevents
overpressure damage to fuel tanks
and structure
(3) Air pressure switch senses
pressurization loss

(1) Internal tanks
(a) Fuel level in fuselage tank falls as
fuel is drawn from negative-g
compartment
