flap accumulator at 2200 psi

consisting of a priority valve, a thermal
relief valve, and a standby flap system

NOTE: The hand pump is not accessible to the
aircrew from the cockpit.

Description:
(1) Functional: hand pump supplies up to
2800 psi to recharge wheel brake/
emergency flap accumulator without
starting engine or applying external
hydraulic pressure (wheel brakes must be
operative prior to towing aircraft)
(2) Physical
(a) Fixed displacement pump
(b) Detachable handle
LESSON NOTES
The hand pump is operated with a breaker bar with a 1/2-inch
drive, 3-inch extension through an access that is labeled HYD
HAND PUMP.
