WARNING: Actuation of the MDC inadvertently
or through the ejection process with the helmet
visor up could result in severe eye injury.
Do not use the MDC firing handle or initiator
cover as a handhold.

Location: both cockpits, inboard right-hand
canopy edge
NOTE: The handles are color coded in yellow
and black stripes and secured with a red safety
pin during ground operations.

Function: initiates firing of MDC to shatter
entire canopy
