The Lead will break away from the Wingman with a level turn for 180º utilizing maximum
power and Gs to maintain airspeed to roll out on the starting altitude established at the base
airspeed, typically 200 KIAS. When the Wingman is in trail, he will give the Lead two "mic"
clicks. The Lead will roll to 45º AOB in the desired direction of the rendezvous to give the
Wingman a "wing flash" and then establish a 30º AOB turn, on altitude and airspeed. The
student will continue to clear the area as well as observe the Wingman for a safe rendezvous
informing the pilot of both.
2. The Wingman. The Wingman will break using a 3-second interval matching Lead's AOB
and pull. The Wingman will give two "mic" clicks when established straight and level and in trail
