Tips to help in memorizing the table:
* Displacement turns are normally about 50º, assuming the bogey was originally on CB.
* Displacement points are normally on the same side of the nose (scope) as the direction of
TA except when TA is greater than 50º. (i.e. Left TA normally goes to the left side of the scope,
etc.)
* If the TA and the displacement point are added up, they will total 50.

Preserving Lateral Displacement
The fighter stops CCCs 2 miles prior to the determined displacement range. For what rounds
to 20º TA, stop CCCs at 12 nm and displace the bogey at 10 nm with a hard turn. After
steadying up, the fighter nose will be in lag pursuit, pointed slightly away from the BFP (greater
than 180 DTG) in an effort to prevent losing any LD. (20º TA X 10 nm X 100 = 20,000' LD, or
just the right amount).
