RADIO INSTRUMENTS
The Field Brief will be given as soon as the active runway at the intended destination is known
(normally upon receipt of the field ATIS, but if the ATIS has not been obtained prior to contact
with Approach Control, the briefing will be based on runway information obtained from
Approach Control).
TITLE (title of the briefing and the name of the airport):

ELEVATION (MSL elevation of the field):

"FIELD ELEVATION IS THIRTY FEET ..."
RUNWAYS (a brief description of all runway(s), and a detailed description of the active

runway including arresting gear):
"THE FIELD HAS PARALLEL RUNWAYS SEVEN LEFT AND RIGHT AND A
NORTH-SOUTH RUNWAY CROSSING AT MID FIELD. THE DUTY RUNWAY IS
SEVEN RIGHT, WHICH IS EIGHT THOUSAND FEET LONG, AND HAS BOTH
SHORT FIELD AND LONG FIELD ARRESTING GEAR ... "
LIGHTING (at night or IMC, provide a description of all active runway lighting.

"RUNWAY SEVEN RIGHT HAS A HIGH INTENSITY APPROACH LIGHTING
SYSTEM WITH SEQUENCED FLASHING LIGHTS, HIGH INTENSITY RUNWAY
