W-155 Check-In

The lead student will be responsible for all navigation and UHF communication to and from the

operating area. Shortly after departure, the controller will direct the flight to contact Seabreeze

(the controlling agency for W155).

Example

DEPARTURE: "ROKT 204, contact Seabreeze on 313.2."

LEAD: "ROKT 204, switching 313.2, Turbo."

WING: "Two."

The lead student will request a frequency change if it has not been received by 20 DME. On

initial contact with Seabreeze, the lead student will request one of the three operating areas

(Figure 10-1) and a discrete frequency:

LEAD: "Turbo."

WING: "Two."
