1101. LOOP

Description. The Loop is a 360 turn in the vertical plane. During the Loop the aircraft is
rotated at a constant rate of pitch about its lateral axis (Figure 11-1).

General. The Loop is one of the most rudimentary aerobatic maneuvers, yet one which
requires skill and practice to consistently perform well. Since the Loop is executed in a single
plane, the elevator is the principle control surface utilized. The nose pitch rate should be
