Compare TAS to GS to obtain the HW/TW component (250 TAS - 220 GS = 30 kts
HW, which also agrees with the estimate). Draw horizontal line along appropriate
value (Figure 4.6-9).

Rotate the compass rose so that the intersection of the two lines is on the vertical
scale (Headwind scale).
