Two secondary instruments (Figure 4.1-7), the altimeter and outside air temperature (OAT)
gauge, provide altitude and temperature information. This information is used to calculate
the effects of the air's density. The density of the air affects the aircraft's true airspeed.
Position information is provided through visual or electronic means.
