ACM 1 v 1 Neutral Starts
(2) If separation allows, attempt to gain extra
airspeed prior to pass
b.
Take out lateral/vertical by pulling up into bandit
c.
At pass, arrive with nose committed into vertical
d.
Continue wings-level, 17-unit pull into vertical
e.
Pull back toward bandit in shortest direction
(one-circle)
f.
If bandit remains nose-low
(1) Pull over top of bandit
(2) Maintain established vertical separation for
possible early turn (radial-g and energy
advantage)
g.
If bandit pulls up into vertical
(1) Pass bandit, adjusting lift vector in order to
take out lateral/vertical separation
(2) Early turn if possible
5.
Common error
a.
Problem: pulling into pure vertical with
insufficient energy resulting in loss of control
Correction: recognize early and roll off in
oblique plane
