T-45C TS, ADV & IUT EMFP-07
Canopy and Flight Control Emergency Procedures
This workbook gives you a quick look at flight control malfunctions and how to counter their effects. Test
your common sense approach to handling them; then get the "school solution" from NATOPS. If you are
not convinced, make notes and talk it over with your instructor when you meet for EMFP-09.
The goals of this lesson are to familiarize you with some specific emergency procedures in NATOPS and
to prepare you for the lecture in EMFP-09.
This lesson presents eight NATOPS research exercises for the following situations:
Speed brake failure to retract
Control augmentation caution light
The T-45C ailerons, stabilator, speed brakes, flaps, and slats are hydraulically operated
The location and function of T-45C trim controls and indicators
The T-45C warning panel and caution advisory panel lights associated with the canopy
and flight control systems
