Standardization Check Ride
a. Use fixed objects like oilrigs and buoys to simulate

c. The IUT will carefully emphasize precise ICS
communication and standardization requirements.
d. The Search and Rescue Standardization Exam must be
completed no more than sixty (60) days PRIOR to flight.
Special Syllabus Requirements.
TTO/NATOPS brief, crew coordination, National SAR Manual,
low-level over-water flight, sea state, search ideology and
phraseology, search patterns, on-scene-commander (OSC)
responsibilities, operations below 1000 feet AGL/MSL, lost
aircraft, fuel planning, ditching procedures, LPP-1 usage/
demonstration, GPS usage, brief book, student tendencies,
standardization/techniques, instructional procedures,
instructor guidelines, ATF write-up, unsatisfactory
performance procedures, and defensive positioning.
