Copilot and Cross-Country
a. I4201 will include a minimum of three non-local
approaches, concentrating on copilot procedures during three IP
approaches. SMA will sit in the right seat during this flight.
b. I4202/I4203/I4204 shall be conducted out of the local
area, concentrating on enroute cross-country navigation.
Special Syllabus Requirements
Coupled approach/autopilot usage.
Weather radar procedures.
High altitude approach.
Crew Resource Management (CRM), copilot responsibilities,
Navigation bag, fuel planning/packet, enroute weather
facilities (civil/military), weight and balance, OPNAV
weather filing criteria, DD 175, DD 175-1, OPARS, arrival
transition, and securing/RON procedures.
FAA flight plan, performance data, anti-icing systems,
flight service station (FSS), heat rise, enroute charts, and
